So if you love to spend hours in the kitchen - messing it all up, rolling, cutting, cleaning, waiting...and talking about how the many hours you're spending in the kitchen -this cracker is NOT for you!
I am all about quick, easy affordable and of course detox-delish! So check this out - you won't be sorry!
I recommend serving this up with my Yummus! The recipe is here ion this blog!
- 1 cup almond meal, (make your own by grinding up your own almonds!)
- 1/4 cup ground walnuts,
- 2 tbls flax seed or flax meal,
- 1 tbls black sesame seeds,
- 3 tbls pepitas
- 3 tbls sunflower seeds,
- 1 tsp garlic salt, and black pepper
- 1 tbls olive oil,
- 2 tbls water
Mix all ingredients into a dough, roll into a ball and place onto parchment paper> Place another piece of parchment over that and roll out to 1/8 inch thickness on flat cookie sheet. (I press with my hands, too). Remove top parchment. Score into squares. Bake 15 minutes at 350F. Enjoy!
If they are too thick - they will take longer to cook....so just cook longer silly!
Success Strategy and a CRUMB -BONUS!!
If you screw up and cook these too long - crumble them all up and make a boat-load of flour-less flavorful detox "bread crumbs". Or - Use the crackers that aren't so pretty and make those into crumbs...OR - you can do it all on purpose!
Use this for topping roasted cauliflower with olive oil....raw zucchini noodles with sun-dried tomato...."mac and cheese" (made the detox way of course)....warm baba ganoush with olives, onion and fresh basil - or top into soup or on your Yummus!
